Technology

The latest technological advances in dental equipment and techniques ensure your dental experience is comfortable and safe. Your satisfaction with your visit and continued excellent oral health is of the utmost importance.

Digital X-Rays

X-Rays are necessary for your continued oral health. Digital X-Rays are a new advancement in dental technology. They allow X-Rays to be taken while exposing you to a minimal amount of radiation. Also, unlike film-based X-Rays, digital X-Rays show more detail and can be archived for future reference. Your visit will be quicker and more comfortable.

DIAGNOdent®

DIAGNOdent® is the newest advancement in cavity detection technology. Cavities on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth and cavities in their earliest stages are sometimes difficult to detect. DIAGNOdent® is a portable technology that allows detection of these cavities. An audible signal alerts our team to any cavities and the equipment provides a numerical readout that tells the size of the cavity. Early detection means the continued health of your teeth.

Intra Oral Camera

Intra oral camera technology allows your teeth to be displayed on a screen so you can have a better understanding of your own oral health and of the recommended treatment. You will be walked through the steps of a procedure and you can watch as procedures are performed on your teeth.

Digital Photography

Photographs are immediately available for use in cosmetic imaging and tracking your progress through digital photography. These images are kept in a digital file and no longer have to be taken off premises to be developed.

Caesy Education System

The Caesy Education System is a patient education system that allows you to see high-quality graphics that show you in detail the steps of the procedure you are to undergo. This equips you with the complete knowledge and understanding of the treatment you need to help you make the best decisions for your teeth and gums. This information will be saved to a DVD for you to take home after your appointment.

Sedation Dentistry

If you suffer from extreme anxiety when you visit the dentist, oral sedation may be the best option for it. Oral sedation helps you to remain comfortable and relaxed during your procedure. A licensed, medical anesthesiologist will come to our office to perform your sedation and monitor your vital signs throughout the procedure. Though you won’t be fully asleep, you will have little or no recollection of the procedure. You will be unable to drive yourself when your procedure is complete, so a friend or family member should pick you up after your appointment.

Velscope

Your oral health is important, and the FDA approved Velscope oral cancer screening system provides you with a quick, safe and comfortable way to detect oral cancer when it is the most treatable. Each year, more than 31,000 people are diagnosed with oral or pharyngeal cancer, and half of them do not survive because the cancer is not diagnosed early enough. Early detection raises the survival rate to as much as 80%. Velscope uses a safe blue light, without the aid of stains or rinses, to detect tissue abnormalities in the earliest stages, before they reach the surface and become visible. It takes only 5 minutes to protect your health and prevent you from becoming a statistic. Ask Dr. Peer today about this powerful new tool in the fight against cancer.

Vita Easy Shade

When you need tooth restorations, such as crowns, bridges or veneers, you want the result to be a natural, beautiful smile. VITA Easyshade is a tool used to match the exact shade of your existing teeth. The result is a restoration that blends in, making sure your brilliant smile is the only thing that gets notice.

Sapphire Supreme

Restore your smile to its youthful glow with Sapphire Supreme. This gentle whitening system, when combined with the Whitening Crystal gel, will brighten your teeth up to 12 shades lighter in only 60 minutes, giving you a winning smile. During your visit to whiten your teeth, a whitening gel containing tiny crystals will be applied to your teeth. A light will then be placed on the gel to activate and illuminate it. At the end of the treatment, the gel will be removed from your teeth, and you will be left with the vibrant smile you have always wanted. Actual results for this treatment vary, so ask Dr. Peer today if this system is right for you.
